In Memoriam
-

Little Pig
Our first potbelly pig resident at the sanctuary. Little Pig was the sanctuaries docent and was cherished by all who met her. She lived 6 wonderful years with us at Saoirse Pastures.
-

Wilbur
Wilbur came to us with his sister Jazzy. He was only with us for 5 months, but he spent a summer loving his pasture and his new friends.
-

Mabel
Mabel was an ambassador for farm pigs everywhere. She was with us for 3 short years and touched everyone she met. She smelled of maple syrup and lived so peacefully among nature.
-
Lady Goat
Lady was a leader and took her role very seriously! She looked after her two sisters and was fearless.
-
Constance and Chance
Constance and Chance passed peacefully together surrounded by family and their trusted caretakers. Chance, a lifelong protector of her sister Constance! Chance was as fluffy and white as a cottontail in the winter months. She loved the sun, pets and grazing with her family. Constance has to be the most resilient, strongest soul I have ever met. Her body was giving out, but her zest for life and her love for her sister kept her going even when she could barely walk.
-

Waddles
An untimely passing of our little potbelly, Waddles, who passed in his sleep. It was devastating to not know what happened, but after consulting with our vets and sanctuary partners who have also lost young pigs unexpectedly, we concluded that this was most likely a heart defect. Waddles came with his sisters Leah and Chidi, who are both healing from their loss.
-

Moby
We said goodbye to Moby during the early spring from a battle with cancer. A sweet little guy who came to us with his brother, Grover. We didn’t get to have a lot of time with Moby, but his calm, sweet demeanor will be missed.
